How do we get started?
Sign up, verify your email and start in the sandbox. Add your business details and try payouts with test funds - no real money moves. When you're ready to go live, complete business verification, confirm your commercial terms and fund your Cleff Account. Prefer a walkthrough? Book a demo.
Can we start in the dashboard and integrate later?
Yes. The dashboard and API work with the same payout records within each environment. Your operations team can use the dashboard now, while developers build the integration in the sandbox. Production uses separate records and credentials.
How do we add the people we pay?
Invite recipients to enter their own details, add verified details yourself, or import an existing verified recipient base through the API. Recipients need completed identity checks and a usable receiving account or card before you create their payouts.
Can we display payout status inside our platform?
Yes. Use the API to read payout status and webhooks to receive payout events in your system. Your operations team can follow the same payouts in the dashboard. Recipient-facing tracking can sit alongside the hosted payout experience.
Does this include payment collection, split payments or escrow?
This solution covers payouts of amounts your platform has already calculated. Payment collection, automatic splitting and escrow are not part of the setup described here. Discuss those requirements separately before planning your integration.
What can our developers test before going live?
Test bank-payout setup, creation, approvals, simulated disbursement and webhook handling. Sandbox uses test funds and stops at disbursement. Card payouts and final delivery, settlement and return events are tested in production, not sandbox.
How quickly can people get paid?
Eligible US bank accounts and US debit cards can receive instant payouts once those methods are enabled for your business. Other methods follow their own timelines. International delivery depends on the destination and payout method.
Who handles identity checks and tax forms?
Your business handles recipient identity checks and tax forms. Cleff verifies your business and records your confirmation that you have independently checked each recipient. Collecting payout details does not replace those checks.
How is pricing structured?
Sandbox testing is free. Live payout pricing is per payout, not per recipient, with commercial terms based on your volume. We confirm the applicable fees before you go live.
